Tristan Leslie's Translation and Interpretation of Le Jeu de la hache d'Armes

Transciption of Le Jeu de la hache d'armes

Unattributed transcription of the original text contained in Le Bibliotheque Nationale, MS FR. 1996

Dr Anglos Notes and Translation

The seminal work on 15th Century Pollaxe as recorded in the anonymous Burgundian text "Le Jeu de la hache d'armes". There are some small errors in the manner of translation, and the text can be a little unclear in places, but this translation formed the basis for the work that has been done in interpreting the pollaxe techniques described in Le Jeu de la hache d'armes, and srill provides direction and verification of other translations

Schola Solis Material

Some very helpful video and descpriptions done by Schola Solis in Melbourne, Australia. There are some techniques described that NZAS does not agree with the interpretation of.

The Exiles Pollaxe Material

A fairly exhaustive introduction to the pollaxe, its use, and medieval combat in general. Some of the descriptions of the specific techniques do not agree with those as interpeted by NZAS, and likewise with some of the interpretations of the guards/wards
